Last week we took a road trip to visit good friends in Savannah, GA. My friend Jami and I met 15 years ago in freshman year science. Life has taken us in different directions (and now states) but we have managed to still stay friends and I am just so grateful for her true friendship!
Savannah is 7 hours from us (but more like 9 with kiddos haha) We decided to break the trip up and stop in St Augustine, FL for a night. We visited Castillo de San Marcos which is the oldest fort in the United States. Nash was excited to be visiting a real fort. Dinner was authentic Italian pizza at Pizzalley's Chianti Room which I 1000% recommended if you visit! Also, we had our first Hyppo Pop experience. Even Nora got to try some (pics below!)
The next day we packed up and headed 3 hours north to Savannah. We visited Fort Pulaski, ate a delicious lunch at Soho South Cafe (again 1000% recommend), enjoyed some yum coffee at The Coffee Fox and enjoyed a lot of lovely company from our friends. This was our first little trip as a family of 4 and it did not disappoint. So many fun memories were created.
